What exactly is hypnosis?

"Hypnosis is a motivational tool for self-improvement and the hypnotist is an instructor who helps you to use that tool".

Hypnosis is a state of mental and physical relaxation together with a highly focused awareness. During hypnosis at Long Island Hypnosis Center, New York, (Imagine Hypnosis), the subconscious or unconscious mind is highly receptive to receive communications or suggestions that are acceptable to that person's moral, ethical and emotional standards and level of comfort. In essence, hypnosis is a means of communication between the conscious and subconscious mind.

How does hypnosis work?

At Long Island Hypnosis Center in New York , (Imagine Hypnosis) hypnosis sidesteps the intellectual, critical, conscious mind and targets the subconscious mind. When speaking directly to the subconscious mind, new ideas and new ways of behaving and thinking are accepted and absorbed in a highly effective way.

We all go into hypnosis many times a day. Examples are: daydreaming, being lost in deep thought, losing track of time while driving, the time just before going into sleep every night, and being engrossed by a particular topic .

Some say that all hypnosis is self-hypnosis. As the Hypnotist, I work with you to achieve your goals. I am a trained professional facilitator, a guide or teacher who helps you along your journey. The ability to reprogram emotional states is an ability each of us has within ourselves. Hypnosis just makes this realization easier and more attainable.
